FAQ WhatsApp – How to create and invite in a group

Create a group

1. Open WhatsApp> press More options > New group.
   • Otherwise, press New cat > New group.
2. Find or select contacts to add to the group. Then press the green arrow.
3. Enter a group subject. This will be the name of the group that all participants will see.
   • The subject limit is 25 characters.
   • You can add emoji about yourself by tapping Emoji.
   • If desired, add a group icon by pressing Camera icon. You can choose to use your Camera, Gallery, or Search the web to add an image. Once set, the icon will appear next to the group in the CAT tongue.
4. Tap the green check mark when you're done.

Invite to groups via links

If you're a group admin, you can invite people to join a group by sharing a link with them. To share a group invite link:

1. Go to group chat WhatsApp, then tap the group topic.
   • You can also press and hold the group in the CAT tongue. Then press More options > Group information.
2. Tap Invite via link.
3. Choose your favorite Send link via WhatsApp, Copy link, Share link via another application, or QR Code.
   • If you send via WhatsApp, search or select contacts, then touch Send.

The administrator can Reset link at any time to invalidate the previous invitation link and create a new link.

Please note:: Any user WhatsApp you share an invite link with can join the group, so only use this feature with people you trust. It's possible that someone will forward the link to other people, who could then join the group without further approval from the group admin.
