A 20-year-old stripper and star ofOnlyFans said she suffered a heart attack when she attempted the “dry scoop” challenge on TikTok.
“I never thought something like this would ever happen to me. Mainly because I'm so young, ”Briatney Portillo told The New York Post.
The challenge of dry scooping involves ingesting a full scoop of undiluted extra energy powder. The powder is usually mixed with water or milk to make a drink before a workout.
Portillo posted a video of herself with a clown filter on April 15 after her heart attack.
“Taking a pre-workout dry scoop because I saw it trending on TikTok “, she said in the short video. “I ended up in the hospital because I had a heart attack. »
Her video went viral and while many were skeptical of her request, she detailed her reaction to Buzzfeed's challenge.
“After I took the pre-workout I started to feel tingling and itchy all over my body which wasn't a good feeling but I googled him and he said it was a normal side effect, so I started doing my workout, ”Portillo said.
“I started to feel a feeling of heaviness in my chest and a slight pain, but it wasn't too bad. I thought maybe it was anxiety or a bad panic attack so I decided to ignore it and continue with my training, ”explained.
Portillo said she subsequently exhibited symptoms of a heart attack and called 911. She said emergency personnel did not take her seriously because she was about to start her. stripper job.
“The cops and paramedics were like, 'Maybe it's just anxiety because you're about to dance,'” she said. “But I'm not afraid to dance. At the time, I wasn't sure what my body was going through, but I knew something was wrong. "
She said she was admitted to a hospital where she was told she was suffering from a minor heart episode. She was released the next day.
Portillo fared better than Destini Crane, a 13-year-old from Portland, Oregon, who attempted to imitate a video TikTok and accidentally suffered severe burns when she set fire to a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
