But flaunting her 500-square-foot apartment on the Upper East Side while surrounded by hundreds of designer shoes and handbags, Allie Provost has become the Carrie Bradshaw of TikTok.
The lifestyle photographer and blogger has racked up over 3 million views since posting a video tour - on the jazzy theme "Sex and the City" - in June from her pink home: with windows full of designer headbands and balls, shelves of Chanel and Dior mini bags, a clothes rack overflowing with colorful dresses and two 6 - tall cabinets lined with rows of candy-colored shoes from designers like Jimmy Choo and Mia Becar. “I really wanted to play in the fantasy of Upper East Side fashionista Carrie,” Provost said of her viral video. “It's a nod to the queen.

In fact, the 27-year-old, who grew up watching reruns of "Sex and the City" in Birmingham, Mich., Earned her good faith by working in retail for Kate Spade.
“This is where I learned all about glitter, polka dots and knots,” said Provost, noting that she first studied finance at George Washington University in Washington, DC.
She moved into the apartment two years ago and enlisted interior designer Shannon Claire to help her transform the space so that her fashion treasures also serve as home decor. In addition to decorating a wall with her collection of chic sun hats and mounting the accessories on the walls as if they were in a museum exhibit, Claire recommended storing additional items inside the poufs.
Provost described her style as "feminine, colorful, mid-century modern with a dash of grandma chic."
And just as Carrie was known to walk around town in a tutu, Provost doesn't hesitate to don a tulle dress for a weekend brunch with her girlfriends.
“One of the perks of living in New York City is that you can get away with wearing whatever you want,” she said.

She won't reveal if there is a Mr. Big in her life, but Provost has said she prepares dates before bringing them back to her extremely feminine jewelry box at a house. “I always say, 'I make a living on Instagram - now you can get that eye out of the way,'” she said.
Provost, who has more than 35 followers on Instagram (@allieproost) and more than 52 on TikTok (@ allie.provost), has been working there full time for three years, since leaving a management position at Bloomingdale's. She mainly photographed campaigns for other influencers, but said her work "came to a screeching halt" because of the pandemic.
Since then, Provost has shot for brands like high fashion wholesale club Few Moda and preppy womenswear brand Sail to Sable, all in his apartment. In addition to selling his photos on his site, PretAProvost.com, she started collaborating with other bloggers remotely.
