OkCupid, how you confuse me. I have friends who have met spouses through OkCupid. My last serious relationship came from OkCupid. In fact, I've been on OkCupid every now and then for about 11 years. The profiles are much more detailed than most dating sites, and if you answer a seemingly endless series of questions, they'll spit out a reasonable Match / Enemy percentage ratio on the profiles to help you gauge compatibility.
Last year's changes made OkCupid a bit more Tinder-like, focusing more on swiping and eliminating the ability to message a user without corresponding with them first. You can still send a message, it just won't appear in the recipient's inbox unless you match. Because who doesn't like to send a thoughtful message to someone who might never see it? However, OkCupid pointed out that these changes have helped reduce the number of offensive messages users received, which might not be the worst thing.
